Saying YES to Jesus - 2 Year Update!

Image
Two Years Since My Baptism: The Best Yes I Ever Said April 9 marks two years since the day I stood before my church and publicly declared my faith through baptism. It was the beginning of a journey I didn’t fully understand at the time—a journey marked by heartbreak, healing, surrender, and an unshakable relationship with God. Just one week before that Easter Sunday in 2023, my pastor asked me if I was ready to be baptized. I laughed and quickly said no. I told him I needed to “get my life together” first. I had my own plans—things I thought needed fixing before I could say yes to Jesus. My life felt too messy. I thought I had to be more put together before I could be fully accepted. But thankfully, God had different plans. He interrupted mine through a simple question from my pastor, and just a week later, I found myself in the water—letting go of control and saying yes to Jesus.      At the time, I believed baptism would change everything—my h...

Discover you God-Given Calling

Image
Have you ever wondered why God created you the way He did? The truth is—you were not made by accident. You were crafted for a purpose. God, in His wisdom and love, uniquely designed you with a set of gifts, experiences, and passions to fulfill a specific role in His Kingdom. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared      beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10 In this blog, we’ll explore five powerful steps to help you discover your spiritual gifts, understand your calling, and begin living it out with boldness and faith. This is the same steps I use in my group and 1:1 coaching sessions to help Christian women find their God-given calling & purpose.  1. Understanding Your Identity in Christ Before we can walk in our calling, we must first understand who we are in Christ. Your identity is not defined by your past, your job title, or what others think—it is rooted in God’s truth. “For You created m...

Finding Your Purpose: The Hidden Truths Have you ever found yourself wondering, Why am I here? or What am I supposed to be doing with my life? If so, you’re not alone. Studies reveal that nearly 70% of people feel unfulfilled in their lives, searching for something deeper—a sense of purpose. It’s a staggering truth that highlights just how many people are simply going through the motions without truly living. But finding your purpose isn’t just a nice idea. It’s essential for personal fulfillment and happiness. Purpose gives direction to our lives and shapes how we approach our relationships, careers, and even our faith. As someone who has walked this journey, I want to share some hidden truths about discovering your purpose and how it transformed my life. Why Finding Purpose Matters For me, discovering purpose began with a realization: I wasn’t truly living. Sure, I had goals and responsibilities, but deep down, I knew there was something more. 2024 was a year full of transforma...

Winter Time is for Sprucing: Preparing for Your Next Season of Growth As winter blankets the world in quiet and cold, it’s easy to look at the bare trees and feel a sense of emptiness. The once vibrant leaves have fallen, leaving branches exposed to the elements. Yet, there is beauty in this season of rest and renewal. Winter is not a time of death but of preparation—a season for sprucing and nurturing, ensuring growth and vitality when spring returns. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reads: "To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Much like the trees, our lives go through seasons. Winter is the perfect time to reflect, refine, and prepare for the abundance of spring. It’s an opportunity to embrace stillness and do the inner work necessary to thrive in the next chapter. Here are a few ways we can make the most of this season: 1. Prune Away What No Longer Serves You In the natural world, winter is the time when gardeners prune trees and shrubs, removing...

Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” This verse gives us a blueprint for true transformation: Stop copying the world. The world tells us that success looks like go to college, find a job, get married, have kids, and continue to climb...
